As a young man, Jake started his adventure in Royal Rangers in 1984 as a Straight Arrow in Outpost 108 in Hillsboro, Oregon and in 1995 became the 5th Ranger from his outpost to earn the Gold Medal of Achievement. He joined the Frontiersman Camping Fellowship in 1993 and became a Wilderness Member in 1995.

 

Along with serving as a Jr. Commander in his Outpost, he completed and served on staff at various Junior Academies. He also served as the Hudson's Bay Scout and Trapper's Territorial Scout for 4 years.

 

As an adult, Jake has served as an Outpost Coordinator for three outposts... Oregon Outpost 32 in Tigard, Oregon, Northwest Outpost 354 in Vancouver, Washington and currently Northwest Outpost 61 in Ridgefield, Washington. Jake also served as the Oregon Communications Coordinator, Northwest FCF Wilderness Rep, Northwest FCF President and Northwest Region Training Coordinator.

 

In 2022 he was appointed the Northwest Regional Coordinator were he also currently serves on the National Royal Rangers Executive Committee.

 

Jake is a graduate of the Royal Rangers Advanced Academy and has served at various National Training events including National Rangers Ministry Camp, National/Advanced Academy, Johnnie Barnes Excellence in Ministry and Leadership Initiative and World Class Outpost.

 

Jake is married to his wife Laurel and they have two children... Ben and Luke. They all love to travel the country together in their RV whenever the Lord needs them to serve somewhere.
